'We want to underline the hardships'
The team has made the following statement about the campaign:
"Women frequently try to protect themselves from sexual assaults or violence; they use methods such as only taking certain roads or checking how their drinks are served because of this. This fear experienced in daily life is legitimate and real. In the #Korkuyorum (#IFeelScared) series, we want to underline the hardships experienced by women in their daily lives in Turkey.
"As you see in the examples, we aim to raise international awareness by sharing women's experiences in English and Turkish. The fears, violence and murders faced by women are, unfortunately, not covered frequently in the media or on social media platforms. For this reason, your support for the #Korkuyorum campaign is very valuable for us."
