After the presidential and parliamentary elections held on Sunday in Turkey, the US has made the first statement about the results.
Spokeswoman for the White House, Sarah Sanders has called for strengthening democracy in Turkey while commenting on the elections during the press briefing.
Sanders also called on Turkey to take a step towards resolving issued about the problems ongoing in the bilateral relations.
The spokeswoman has also mentioned that they are on the way to provide the essential arrangements for a phone call between the Presidents Donald Trump and Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
In addition, she said, “We are working to set up a call between the president and the president of Turkey to reaffirm our strong bond Key points between US and Turkey”.
