At least 284 people lost their lives in 10 cities in the earthquake that hit south of Türkiye early in the morning, the assistant to the President Fuat Oktay announced.
The Migrants Union Initiative gave a telephone number so those who wanted to help could reach them.
Migrant population
According to the figures reported by the Migrants Association on January 9 Ocak 2023, the numbers of migrants from Syria who live in the cities most affected by the deadly earthquake are as follows:
Antep: 461 thousand 149 migrants,
Urfa: 370 thousand 793 migrants,
Hatay: 356 thousand 361 migrangs,
Adana: 252 thousand 080 migrants,
Maraş: 96 thousand 856 migrants,
Kilis: 87 thousand 686 migrants,
Osmaniye: 38 thousand 661 migrants,
Adıyaman: 22 thousand 252 migrants,
Diyarbakır: 21 thousand 670 migrants.
