President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that it was “purposeful” that pop star Erol Büyükburç (79), suffering from heart disease and diabetes, died just the day before his concert. The statement was found puzzling by some of Büyükburç's fans in Turkey.
Erdoğan pronounced the aforementioned words during his joint press conference with Hungary President Janos Ader.
“It is purposeful that he died the day before his concert program. We have yet to receive a result from our security forces on how the incident took place. The answer of the question ‘What happened?’ is forensic medicine’s business. They will make the necessary examination and then they will make the necessary statement to inform us,” he said. (EKN/BM)
