A bus owned by Havaist company providing passenger transportation to the İstanbul Airport had an accident in the district of Büyükçekmece in İstanbul earlier today (August 8) as its driver lost the steering control.
The bus first crushed into the fruit and vegetable stands on the roadside, then into an electric pole. While Didem Şam, a passenger on board in the bus, has lost her life, seven people have been wounded.
Earth-moving truck rolled over
Another accident took place in the district of Eyüpsultan in İstanbul today. An earth-moving truck en route on Kemerburgaz highway rolled over.
Two people have been wounded in the accident, blocking the traffic towards the new İstanbul Airport. After the earth-moving truck was removed from the road with a crane, the road has been opened to vehicle traffic. (RT/SD)
