Cinar noted that they "oppose the violence and massacre that the United States have been carrying on in Iraq" and said "When we see on TV and in newspapers the people who are dying, people who are getting wounded, we are deeply touched. Yet unfortunately we cannot show the courage to do something against this. We have become a callous society. It is time that we rid ourselves of this callousness".
