Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) members have carried out an attack on the Recruiting Office in Kızıltepe district of Mardin province with a bomb-laden vehicle killing one night watch Syrian refugee and injuring 11 others including two soldiers and three children.
The attack was carried out on April 1 at 11.40 p.m. on the Recruiting Office located at the 8 March street. The explosive-laden vehicle which could not enter the garden due to the barricades in front of the Office has been detonated outside the building.
In the explosion heard in through the district a Syrian refugee working as a night watch in a construction site nearby has lost his life.
The two soldiers keeping watch in front of the building and others civilian passers-by have been injured.
Following the attack, medical teams and reinforcement security forces have been referred to the region. Five wounded two of whom were soldiers have been delivered to Kızıltepe State Hospital. Others have been taken to hospitals in Mardin. (AS/DG)
