Alongside Mayor Mustafa Bozbey, local representatives from Motherland Party (ANAP), Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), New Turkey Party (YTP), Great Union Party (BBP), Liberal Democracy Party (LDP), People's Social Democratic Party (SHP) and Young Party (GP) join the campaign.
Mayor Mustafa Bozbey said: "In war, the civilians suffer most, thousands of people are wounded"
"A unit of blood donated for Iraqi people may save a person's life" Bozbey told. The campaign here, should set an example for Turkey".
Blood collected in the campaign will be delivered to Iraq by World Health Organisation via Red Crescent Blood Center. (BE/EK)
