bianet Receives Best News Website Award

Contemporary Journalists Association of Turkey honored bianet with its annual Best News Website Award, acknowledging bianet's long-lasting work on Turkey's media.

In 2012, bianet has been awarded by Journalists Association of Turkey, Hrant Dink Foundation and Musa Anter Award Delegation. Nadire Mater, bianet project advisor, received Grand Mulkiye Award by Ankara University School of Government.

Journalists Association of Turkey gave its annual Best News Website Award to bianet for their feature on the World Action Day on Violence Against Women (November 25, 2011).

bianet editor Işıl Cinmen received 20th Musa Anter and Media Martyrs Journalism Award for her article, Kurdish Problem From Both Perspectives/Families Count about Martyr Onur and Guerrilla Ebru.

In 2012, Hrant Dink Foundation acknowledged bianet for its pro-choice campaign, My body My Decision. (NV/BM)
