Banner Ad Provokes University Administration
Yıldız Technical University Security staff allegedly veiled a banner ad that depicted a woman in stockings. University president protested the media coverage on the issue, saying that it was a provocation in the course of finals week.
A group of individuals who were alleged to be the security staff of Yıldız Technical University’s Davutpaşa campus veiled a banner ad that depicted a woman in stockings.
Several students shared photos of the security staff veiling the ad and brought up the issue on the social media.
Addressing the criticism, Yıldız Technical University President İsmail Yüksek released a statement: “I don’t understand the rationale behind bringing up an ad issue in the middle of finals week. This is just a provocation considering that universities have several other issues to resolve and that we are struggling to resolve them.”
