Antep Governorship has announced that a gun attack was launched on Antep Security Directorate and one person was killed.
Reuters citing Security sources claimed that the assailant was a suicide bomber.
Reinforcements and medical units were dispatched to the scene when gunshots started at around 3:23 p.m. in front of the directorate building.
An operation has been commenced in order to to capture the one who escaped.
A clash erupted at the entrance of the garden of the Security Directorate and that an operation was launched to capture the assailants.
"An armed attack has been launched on Gaziantep Security Directorate. Police immediately retaliated and neutralized the assailants. One police officer was lightly injured in the clash", said Antep Governor Ali Yerlikaya.
Vice Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmuş said the incident was similar to the one in İzmir. (NV/TK)
