An armed attack was carried out against the Yüreğir District Organization building in Turkey's southern province of Adana.
During the armed attack carried out by an unidentified person or persons, an explosive substance was also thrown at the balcony of the office, which led to a fire. While the fire has been put out thanks to citizens' efforts, the HDP members came to the building and called the police.
The HDP Adana Provincial Organization has released a brief statement on its social media account and said:
"An attack with molotov [cocktail] and firearms was launched against our Adana Yüreğir District Building. As the attack was immediately noticed, the fire could be prevented from spreading further. The crime scene investigation teams are now at our district building."
The HDP Adana organization has announced that "the necessary statement will be made tomorrow (today - February 17). (TP/SD)
