Detained after launching an armed attack against the Marmaris District Office of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) in Muğla province on July 14, assailant A.T.D. (28) has been arrested by the court.
Standing before the judge late in the evening on July 17, A.T.D. has been arrested by the court while four others who were allegedly involved in the armed attack have been released on probation.

As reported by Mezopotamya Agency (MA), as part of the investigation, assailant A.T.D. as well as his maternal uncle, friend, taxi driver and Ensar A., who was caught in İstanbul and brought to Muğla, were taken into custody on the grounds that they aided the attack.
In the statements made by the Muğla Governor's Office and Marmaris Sub-Governor's Office, it was argued that the assailant was mentally unstable.
Referred to the Penal Court of Peace by the prosecutor's office, A.T.D. has been arrested while the four other others have been released on probation.
On June 17, another assailant named O.G. carried out an armed attack against the HDP İzmir office and killed party worker Deniz Poyraz.
