The Flying Broom (Uçan Süpürge) International Women's Film Festival will be held in Ankara for the 22nd time between May 23 and 30, 2019.
Applications for the categories of domestic and international "feature-length" and "short films" and "documentary" films can be made until March 22, 2019.
Women's films from five continents
This year's festival will bring together women's film festivals from five continents and will host several domestic and international award-winning films from around the world.
The Flying Broom International Women's Film Festival has been the first women's film festival in the world, which has the jury of FIPRESCI. Domestic and international films directed by women will compete for the prize awarded by the jury of FIPRESCI in 2019 as well.

62 films were screened in the 21st year
The 21st Flying Broom International Women's Film Festival was held from May 10 to May 17, 2018. During the festival, 62 films were screened and 17 events were held in eight different places. The first woman Prime Minister of New Zealand Helen Clark was also among the guests of the festival.
The Flying Broom International Women's Film Festival, which makes the labor of women in cinema visible and hosts the women filmmakers who have a say both in the domestic and international arena, has been supporting the works of young filmmakers. The international film anthology of the festival is rewarded by the jury of FIPRESCI each year. (EMK/SD)
