According to data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the consumer prices have increased by 11.72% compared to the same period of the last year.
The inflation was announced as 11.87% last month. The inflation saw a decrease for the first time since November 2016.
The inflation on monthly basis was recorded as 0.45%. The monthly inflation was 1.31% last month.
In consumer prices, 6.18% increase was seen compared to December of 2016 and 9.09% increase was seen in annual average.
In the list of products which saw the highest increase in price, visiting Umrah took place on the top with 30.6%, followed by domestic tours with 21.6%; foreign tours with 19.64%; onion with 16.28% and lemon with 14.98%.
The highest decrease was seen in the seasonal foods: Long green pepper (59.79%); green beans (40.04%); cucumber (33.67%); aubergine (19.59%) and zucchini (16.82%). (YY/TK)
