State-run Anadolu Agency (AA) has updated the number of dead, injured and detention following the coup attempt.
240 people of whom 62 are police, five are soldier, 173 civilian killed in Ankara, İstanbul, Muğla and Malatya during coup attempt on July 15, according to the Anadolu Agency.
Of the 62 police, 55 lost their lives during the incidents in Ankara, five in İstanbul and two in Muğla.
Four of the five soldiers lost their lives during the incidents in Ankara, the other in İstanbul.
Of the 173 civilians, 78 lost their lives during the incidents in Ankara, 94 in İstanbul, one in Malatya.
Injured
1,535 people injured during the coup attempt. Treatment of 623 people at the hospital is continuing.
124 police officers of whom 96 in Ankara, 23 in İstanbul, three in Muğla, one each in Sakarya and Bayburt injured.
21 soldiers of whom 18 in Ankara, two in Sakarya, one in İstanbul injured.
800 civilians in Ankara, 589 in İstanbul, one in Eskişehir injured.
Detentions
Following the coup, 1,350 military officers 115 of whom are general, 6,319 soldiers 4,854 of whom are other military staff member have been taken into custody.
210 security officers have been taken into custody.
1,481 judges and prosecutors have been taken into custody.
650 civilians have been detained.
990 of the suspects detained have been arrested, 80 of them released, 215 released on probation.
There are still 7,375 people in custody. (ÇT/TK)
