On today's hearing, Diyarbakir 2nd High Criminal Court released two more defendants in KCK main case.
After the release of defendants Hasan Hüseyin Ebem and Abdullah Eflatun, no more defendants left jailed within KCK main case with its 175 defendants.
On July 1, the court has released 30 defendants.
On June 28, Hatip Dicle and Hüsamettin Çiçek, former Deputy Mayor of Bağlar district have released within KCK main case.
KCK Main case
Drafted by Diyarbakır Prosecutor's Office, the 7,578 pages long KCK main case indictment charged 175 defendants including Batman Mayor Necdet Atalay and Kayapinar Mayor Zülküf Karatekin with "separatist actions against state's unity", "being membership and leader of a terrorist organization" and "aid and abet for a terrorist organization". Defendants are facing various prison terms from 15 years to life sentence. (AS/GOA/BM)
