Drafted by the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), the omnibus bill which also has articles prolonging the State of Emergency practices has passed the General Assembly of the Parliament.

With this legal amendment;
* With the aim of an effective struggle against terrorism, the articles rearranging the periods of detention and granting additional periods of detention for certain offenses have been extended for a year as of July 31.
* The regulations as to the expulsion of public officials from duty, their discharge, degrading and removal of professional titles as part of counterterrorism efforts have been extended for a year as of July 31.
* While it is aimed to prolong the article foreseeing the appointment of the Saving Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) as a trustee for 3 years starting from July 31, 2021, the duty of trusteeship is to be undertaken by the Fund in the event that a trustee is appointed as part of the investigations and prosecutions carried out into the terror crimes within three years.
* The fines imposed on the ones trading tobacco without getting a certification of authorization from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry or notifying the Ministry have been deferred for one year.
* With the aim of decreasing labor force expenses of employers and ensuring that they protect/ increase employment, the minimum wage support granted to employers from 2016 to the end of 2020 has been extended.
* As per an amendment to the Law on People with Disabilities, the related municipalities and public institutions and organizations will be granted the authority to extend the related period for a year in the event that the obligations to ensure accessibility are not fulfilled. (RT/SD)
