The Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting of Justice and Development Party (AKP) which has begun under the presidency of Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu at 12.15 p.m. lasted 30 minutes.
Following the Central Executive Board meeting of AKP coming to an end, it has been reported that the party’s extraordinary congress will be held on May 22 and Davutoğlu would not run for president in the congress.
Erdoğan during board meeting
According to the report of NTV News Channel, during the MYK meeting, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has hosted many MPs and Presidents of Environment, Human Rights and Petition Commissions of the Parliament in the Presidential Palace.
It has caught attention, that the respective meeting had not been on Erdoğan’s agenda for today.
Later, Erdoğan will be hosting President of the Central Bank Murat Çetinkaya, Qatar Minister of Defence Halid Bin Al Attıyahand National Intelligence Agency (MİT) Advisor Hakan Fidan (EKN/DG)
