The new presidential candidate will be announced by commission of four people consisting of representatives of all units prior to the congress on Thursday.
Abdulkadir Selvi in his column in Hürriyet daily based on a meeting he made with an AKP manager declared the presidential tendencies. According to Selvi, the following figures have come to the fore: Binali Yıldırım, Bekir Bozdağ, and Numan Kurtulmuş. There is agreement on three subjects with respect to policies as to the extraordinary congress: It will be gone to the congress with joint candidate, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s opinion will be determining and the president will be backed whoever elected.
