Rescue teams have recovered the body from under debris after the 6.8-magnitude earthquake in the eastern Elazığ province, Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) Chair Mehmet Güllüoğlu has announced.
"According to the information we have, the body of our last citizen under the debris has also been reached. Search operations in debris continue," he said in a tweet.
The death toll of Friday's (January 24) earthquake epicentered in Sivrice has reached 41.
Families settled in a train
Some of the people who have been affected by the earthquake have been settled in a train at the Elazığ Railroad Terminal. Another train that was prepared for the personnel of the state-owned Turkish Wagon Industry Inc. (TÜVASAŞ) also been sent to Elazığ. A car of the "accommodation train" contains a bedroom, a kitchen and a bathroom. (AÖ/VK)
