Aerial operation was launched by 14 warplanes on targets designated by scouting in north of Iraq on March 9. The General Staff has declared that 67 Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) members were killed in the attack.
According to report of CNNTürk, aerial operation was launched by 14 F-16 and F-4 2020 warplanes on targets in camps of Qandil, Metina, Haftanin, Avaşin and Basyan.
The camps are located within the border of Kurdistan Regional Government, which is headed by Massoud Barzani.

The Qandil Mountains are a mountainous area of northern Iraq near the Iraq–Iran border, the Qandil Mountains' range extends to a depth of nearly 30 kilometers inside Turkish territory. The largest portion of the mountains are located in Iraq's city of Arbil.
Ammunition depot, blockhouse, and shelters were hit in the operation.
PKK sources are yet to make any statement as to the operation. (EKN/TK)
