A lawsuit was filed against two suspects O.Y. and M.Ç. on the allegation that they raped 27-year-old H.K. in 2016.
The lawsuit was filed upon the complaint of the family after it was understood that H.K. got pregnant after the incident. Since the legal period of abortion expired, the woman had to give birth to the child.
Forensic Medicine Institute did not meet H.K.
As reported by Evrensel newspaper, without meeting H.K. and solely taking other reports into consideration, the Forensic Medicine Institute argued that the woman did not have any mental disabilities.
As a result of this conviction which affected the course of the trial, defendants were tried without being arrested all through the hearings.
