Turkey's 11th President Abdullah Gül made his first statement yesterday after the presidential election on Sunday.
Addressing press inquiries at a reception, Gül said that he will return to his party AKP at the end of his term.
"I will doubtlessly return to my party at the end of my presindetial term. It is very very natural for me. I belive that Turkey will continue its path as strong as possible," he said.
On April 18, Gül released the following statement: “Under today's circumstances, I would like to share with you that I don't have plans for politics in the future." (ÇT/BM)
