In Yüksekova district of Hakkari province in southeastern Turkey, people marched against police operations; a citizen died, another citizen got wounded.
The march
According to Yüksekova News, the police had launched an operation in two quarters of the district and hundreds of people reacted to and marched against it today.
Plastic bullet, gas bomb
Tension rose between groups of people whose faces were covered and the police. Policemen used plastic bullets and gas bombs against the protesting and letting off fireworks groups.
A young person named Azad Şanlı was killed by a drive by shooting from an armored police vehicle. Another person got gravely wounded and was taken to Yüksekova State Hospital.
Police operations in Şırnak
Yet another police operation was carried out against Patriotic Revolutionary Youth Movement (YDG-H) in Şırnak province in southeastern Turkey.
Two police officers got wounded during the operations showing the ditches in the streets dug by YDG-H as the reason of the police operation. One of the officers died while the other one has been still treated in the hospital. (YY/HK/BD)
