7th Pink Life QueerFest is prepared to bring together queer production from all over the world with their audience in İstanbul on January 27-28.
The fest will be realized free of charge at Tasarım Atölyesi (Design Workshop) Kadıköy and İDEA Kadıköy hosted by Tütün Deposu and Kadıköy Municipality. bianet is among the press sponsors of the festival.
The festival, which was organized in Ankara in the first three years, was organized in both Ankara and İstanbul on its fourth year, and visited five cities on its fifth year.
Content of the festival
The festival presents a program full of online series, workshops, panels and parties as well as movies from all over the world.
The festival brings actual topics such as identity, race, love, friendship, family, discrimination, resistance, art and transformation up for discussion with prize winning feature-length fiction films and documentaries, cult productions that changed the course of cinema as well as short films.
As part of the event, the Cins Adımlar: Toplumsal Cinsiyet ve Hafıza Yürüyüşleri (Curious Steps: Gender and Memory Walks) team will pound the pavement in order to both have a better understanding of gender and memory, and to track invisible memories of the city. (ÇT/TK)
