Five more soldiers lost their lives in the armed clashes between the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) and Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) yesterday (February 8) in Operation Euphrates Shield carried out in Al-Bab region of Syria.
According to Sputnik News, in Syria's Al-Bab region in which the armed clashes have recently intensified, ISIS members targeted an area today where soldiers from Turkey are positioned.
One of the soldiers injured in the attack with yet unknown details reportedly lost his life.
The injured soldiers were brought to Kilis State Hospital for treatment. The bodies of one soldier who lost his life today (February 9) at 11.30 a.m. and four others today at 02.40 p.m. were brought to Antep on a helicopter.
66 soldiers killed
Operation Euphrates Shield carried out by the Turkish Armed Forces together the Free Syrian Army (FSA) had been launched on August 24, 2016. The operation into Al-Bab had begun in December 9, 2016.
