Three village guards and a civilian in Başkale district of Van have lost their lives in an attack carried out by members of Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). Two other people have been injured.
Van Governorship has announced in its statement, that fire was opened on a civilian minibus in Eşmepınar neighbourhood of Başkale district in Van at around 4 p.m. yesterday (November 9).
Village guards Hüsnü Keskin, Ekrem Keskin and retired village guard Şahabettin Keskin as well as the civilian Mehmet Demir who were on the bus, lost their lives. The Governorship has added that also two civilians were injured in the attack.
Stating that the injured people were in treatment, Van Governorship noted that actions to capture the perpetrators continued. (AS/DG)
