A soldier wounded in the conflict has lost his life in the hospital where he was taken for treatment in Sur district of Diyarbakır province.
According to statement made on website of General Staff at 8 a.m. this morning (February 11), the deceased soldier was wounded in the attack by Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) members during the operations carried out in Sur.
Gendarmerie Specialized Sergeant Osman Öz killed yesterday and 26-year-old specialized noncom Kadir Genç will be taken to their hometowns to be buried after the funerals to be held today. (AS/TK)
