Three soldiers have been killed resulting by the attack of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) member in Turkey’s southeastern Nusaybin district of Mardin.
The operations commenced on March 14 continue in Nusaybin which is still under curfew.
Fire opened on the security forces trying to defuse the bomb within the scope of the operation planted on the road at 5:45 a.m. yesterday (May 1).
While security forces turned the attack launched with rocket launchers and long-barreled weapons, three soldiers killed and 14 others wounded in the clash.
The wounded soldiers have been taken to Nusaybin and Mardin State hospital for treatment.
Another attack had taken place on Saturday
Captain Alper Kalem was shot to death by a sniper rifle at around 7 a.m. on Saturday in Mardin’s Nusaybin.
Kalem whose family in Amasya has been informed had two children who are aged 10 years old and six months.
