Curfew declared yesterday (February 16) in İdil district of Şırnak province continues.
According to information Education and Science Laborers Union (Eğitim-Sen) Representative of İdil, İdris Kartal gave to bianet, a large part of residents has left the district upon the declaration of the curfew.

Kartal saying, “People have gotten scared when they saw the tanks that it would be like in Cizre”, stated that only one or two thousand people have remained in the district.
8th and 12th grade students have been taken to Batman province. Some appointed teachers will stay at dorms attending classes.
No regulation has been made as to students other than 8th and 12th grades.

İdil district of Şırnak province is a neighbour of Cizre, Midyat and Nusaybin districts and has land borders with Syria and the Iraq. It is located at a distance of 60 km to Mardin province and 24 km to Syrian border gate.
