According to information we as bianet have compiled in 2016, in total 20 attacks including the one on new year were launched at city centers.
While 358 people lost their lives in these attacks, the number of injured people couldn't be determined.
Despite 358 people losing their lives and hundreds of others being injured in the 20 attacks, no one has resigned because of these attacks.
State officials issued similar statements following the sad events: "A malicious, vile attack", "We condemn it", "The attacks take place because we fight terrorism", "Our fight against terrorism will continue pertinaciously"...

January 12, İstanbul – 12 killed
The attack launched reportedly by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) againt tourists in İstanbul's neighborhood of Sultanahmet, the historical peninsula, killed 12 people.
February 17, Ankara – 29 killed
An explosion occurred during the passage of military vehicles on Merasim Street, which is very close to Ministry of Interior, General Staff and Ministry of National Defense.
February 18, Diyarbakır – 7 killed
A bomb attack was launched during passage of military vehicle on Diyarbakır-Bingöl highway. Six soldiers lost their lives, one soldier was heavily wounded in the attack.

The attack occurred on Kızılay Atatürk Boulevard in Ankara near Ministeries bus stops.

March 19, İstanbul – 5 killed
An explosion took place on İstiklal Street in Beyoğlu district in İstanbul at around 11:10 a.m. The suicide bomber and four people died, 36 people were injured.

March 31, Diyarbakır – 7 killed
An explosion took place during the passage of riot squad forces' vehicle at around 5 p.m. in Diyarbakır.
April 27, Bursa – 13 injured
A suicide attack took place around Grand Mosque in Bursa. 13 people were injured.
May 1, Antep – 2 killed
Two police officers lost their lives in the explosion that took place in front of Antep Security Directorate.
May 12, Diyarbakır – 15 killed
An explosion took place in Sarıkamış village at midnight.

June 7, İstanbul – 11 killed
A bomb attack was carried out on a police bus in Vezneciler district in İstanbul. 11 people died, 36 others were left injured, according to the İstanbul Governor.

June 8, Mardin – 4 killed
An attack was launched with a bomb-laden vehicle on Midyat Security Directorate in Mardin province. Four people including two police officers lost their lives, 30 people were injured in the attack. Clashes erupted following the attack.

A bomb attack was launched on a wedding in Şahinbey district in Antep province.

An explosion occurred near police station in İstanbul's district of Yenibosna. İstanbul Governor Vasip Şahin announced that 10 people were injured in the attack.

October 9, Hakkari – 18 killed
18 people including 10 soldiers were killed and 27 people including 11 soldiers were injured in the attack launched by the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) on gendarmerie station in Şemdinli district in Hakkari province.
