One police officer killed in clashes.
An artillery shell hit a house where 15 people lived including Cizre Community Assembly Co-Chairs. Wall of the house has collapsed, Dicle News Agency (DHA) reported. 10 people of whom one is heavily wounded, Dic. Thereis Azadiya Welat newspaper’s Chief Editor, Rohat Aktaş. The wounded couldn’t have been taken to hospital because of the ongoing clashes.
One police officer killed in the conflict between Patriotic Revolutionary Youth Movement (YDG-H) and police officers in the district that has been under curfew for 41 days.
DHA reported that special operation police officer Bayram Özdere killed in the conflict.
First Lieutenant killed in Cizre
First Lieutenant, Uğur Taşçı killed in the operations launched in Cizre.
Taşçı losing his life in the clash in Cizre’s Dağkapı neighborhood was tasked under Special Operations Commandership known as “maroon berets”.
Body of Taşçı, married and father of one, will be buried in İstanbul. (EA/AS/TK)
