Two soldier have been killed, two others injured on the 134th day of Operation Euphrates Shield jointly run by the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) and Free Syrian Army (FSA).
Of the killed soldiers yesterday (January 4), Gendarmerie Staff Sergeant Hüsnü Bilgiç was serving in the army for five years.
Bilgiç will be interred following afternoon prayer in Malatya’s district of Arapgir.
Injured soldier couldn’t be saved
The wounded soldiers were taken under treatment in Antep province. Death of a wounded soldier was announced in the evening hours.
Death toll during Operation Euphrates Shield commenced on August 24, 2016 has increased to 43.
The TSK announced that 12 ISIS members were killed, 14 targets were destroyed in the yesterday’s clash. (HK/TK)
