Two more persons have been taken into custody within the investigation into the armed attack against Cumhuriyet daily’s Editor-in-Chief Can Dündar.
It has been reported that the two taken into custody today (May 9) have been reached through examination of phone call records of the assailant Murat Şahin.
Also on Saturday (May 7) two persons had been taken into custody; one on suspicion of instigation and the other one of standing guard. Assailant Murat Şahin and the four suspects under detention are expected to be referred to court tomorrow.
On May 6, Friday an armed attack had been carried out against Can Dündar whilst verdict in hearing over his and the daily’s Ankara Representative Erdem Gül’s MİT Truck report had been awaited. (ÇT/DG)
