First call has come from the prosecutions after the parliamentary immunity of the MPs against whom have cases was lifted.
According to the report of the Fırat News Agency (ANF), Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Muş MPs Ahmet Yıldırım and Burcu Çelik Özkan have been summoned to prosecution to testify.
HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş said, “Muş MPs Ahmet Yıldırım and Burcu Çelik Özkan have been summoned to testify yet indeed our fellows will not go to testify”.
Demirtaş had said “We will not accept the summons”
HDP Co-Chair Demirtaş as to the parliamentary immunities had said in his statement on June 18 that they don’t approve the trials and won’t go to testify.
Demirtaş had spoken briefly as follows:
“This is not a trial, we won’t testify, we won’t answer the questions. We have just one political pleading, we will read that everywhere.
“We will not accept the summons. They will have to take us by police force.
“This situation is a political crisis and struggle. We will definitely hold the AKP (Justice and Development Party) accountable for this”. (EKN/TK)
