25 people, who were detained in house raids conducted by the police in Turkey's southeastern province of Diyarbakır on October 9, were referred to the Diyarbakır Courthouse yesterday (October 11).
Of the ones who gave their testimonies, Pınar Tekin has been released while journalist Kibriye Evren, Behçet İne, Celal Yoldaş,Eda Bazancir, Hülya Biçen, Hasret Alp, Sercan Doğan, Aliye Tok, Elif Harra, Nevriye Çul, Kumru Tokay, Rıfat Roni and Mehmet Temizyüz have been arrested on charge of "being members of a terrorist organization".
The following people, who were also referred to court yesterday, have been released: Abbas Çelik, Emrullah Kaplan, Derya Aslan, Didar Çeşme, Dilnaz Ekmekçi, Seher Tümer, Pınar Sakık Tekin, Selma Metin, Eylem Ceylan, Türki Gültekin, Kadriye Özcanlı and Mehmet Ay.
The other journalists and politicians, who were detained as part of the operation, have been expected to be referred to courthouse today. (EMK/SD)
