According to a report by Worker Health and Occupational Safety Assembly [İşçi Sağlığı ve İş Güvenliği Meclisi in Turkish], at least 123 workers died on the job in November 2014.
Among casualties included 12 women, 1 child and 3 immigrants.
Out of 123 dead workers, 109 were contracted workers and 14 farmers.
While most casualties were reported on the sectors of construction (32) and agriculture, traffic accidents (34) ranked as the most frequent causes of death.
Istanbul (9) marked the top city for workplace related deaths.
In the past 11 months of 2014, 1723 workers died on the job according to the assembly.
