“Many Human Rights Association members struggling for rights and freedoms in democratic field were detained, arrested, penalized over the last two years. There are still many rights defenders confronting various punishments”.
Human Rights Association (İHD) Adana Branch declared its report on the investigations and prosecutions launched into its members.
According to the report, 100 investigations have been launched into 92 rights advocated from Human Rights Association Adana Branch. 75 of the investigations continue; 17 rights advocates were convicted; 75 have still been tried.
The report includes statistical data of criminal investigations launched into Adana branch members and directors, investigation results and crimes claimed to be committed.
Investigations

Those who have been prosecuted
92 people from the branch have been prosecuted over 10 different charges.
Penalties
17 rights defenders were penalized over four different charges.
Ongoing prosecutioons
Investigation over 10 different charges against 75 rights defenders still continue.
