One soldier was killed and five others were wounded in Kurdistan Workers’ Party’s (PKK) mortar attack in Hakkari’s Çukurca district yesterday (October 2).
PKK members launched mortar attack during the military operation carried out in Dağbaşı position located on Çukurca’s ground zero at around 5:30 p.m.
The injured soldiers were taken to Hakkari State Hospital for medical treatment, Doğan News Agency (DHA) reported.
Aerial-backed operation was launched in the region.
People’s Defense Forces (HPG) also declared that a soldier was killed in Çukurca, according to Fırat News Agency (ANF). (AS/TK)
