Six Palestinians went missing in Turkey over the past month, the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced yesterday (September 27), Palestine's Wafa news agency reported.
Palestine's embassy in Ankara and consulate in İstanbul, in communication with Turkey's authorities, are following up on the cases of the six people, the ministry stated.
Four of the missing people were in İstanbul, one was in Konya, central Turkey, and one was near the Turkey-Greece border, according to the ministry.
The ministry also called on Palestinians in Turkey to inform the authorities if they have knowledge of the missing people.
About 10 to 12 thousand Palestinians are living in İstanbul, holding Palestinian or Jordanian passports, according to the UK-based Palestinian Return Centre. (VK)
