Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca has announced that the total number of Covid-19, the new strain of coronavirus, cases in Turkey is 18.
Sharing a message on his Twitter account, Minister Koca has indicated that 12 more people have been diagnosed with the virus, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 18.
Koca also said on Twitter that among these cases, two people who had contact with the first case have tested positive for the coronavirus.
Koca also shared information about the where some of the patients originated from. He announced that while seven of the confirmed cases had come from Europe, three cases were from the United States (US).
"Every detected case and every isolation is a security measure for all of us," Health Minister Fahrettin Koca noted further.
