Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım speaking in Çankırı said "Turkey also set the tone for the elections in the Netherlands. It has curbed racism for a while in Europe now but pull yourself together, these hostile policies, hostility to Islam, hostility to Turks and the Islamophobia will not lead you to the right path".
Yıldırım with regards to the elections in Holland said:
"We have seen how Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands could suddenly resort to dicta practices when it comes to Turkey. It is prohibited to say 'yes' and free to say 'no' there. That is what they understand from freedom of thought, liberties and human rights.
"But don't worry. Turkey is a big country. Even Europe adjusts its politics temper to Turkey. Look at the results, Turkey has also set the tone for the elections in the Netherlands. It has curbed racism for a while in Europe now but pull yourself together, these hostile policies, hostility to Islam, hostility to Turks and the Islamophobia will not lead you to the right path".
"Those in Europe, stay calm"
Yıldırım has continued his speech as follows:
"Some countries in Europe should remember that we will not forget what has been done and we have given necessary response when needed, and will continue to do so. I am sure that our 5 million sisters and brothers living in Europe has been following this. And I urge them to stay calm and ignore agitations". (NV/DG)
