Women's labor force participation rate in Turkey is lower than any other European country, the Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV) said in the 115th issue of its Employment Monitoring Bulletin.
Despite the trend of increase in the number of women employees in recent years, women's participation is still low, the foundation said, citing International Labor Organization (ILO) figures.
Also, men's labor force participation rate in Turkey is the highest among European countries, it noted.
Women's labor force participation rate is the highest in the NEtherlands (62.4 percent) and Sweden (61.7 percent) and men's participation is the lowest in Switzerland (6.3 percent) and Luxembourg (7.0 percent), according to ILO. (EMK/VK)
