Conducting the investigation into the suspicious death of domestic worker Nadira Kadivora from Uzbekistan, who allegedly committed suicide at the house of ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) İstanbul MP Şirin Ünal, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office released a written statement about the investigation yesterday (October 2).
The statement was released "in response to the unfounded allegations irrelevant to the reality such as no crime scene investigation was made about the death of the person, no postmortem examination was conducted on the dead body and fingerprints of MP Şirin Ünal were not taken".

'Crime scene investigation made meticulously'
In its statement, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office indicated that "after it was reported that a person named Nadira Kadirova shot herself with a firearm at around 9 p.m. on September 23, our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office went to the scene of incident immediately".
Providing details about how the door of the room where she was found was broken by security officers and how she was referred to hospital, the Prosecutor's Office said, "The necessary crime scene investigation was made meticulously by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office".
The Office also shared the information that "the 9mm-calibre Beretta brand weapon considered to be used in the incident, the bullet fired from this weapon and its shell were seized and subjected to a criminal examination".
According to the statement, the ensuing criminal examination showed that "the shell and deformed cartridge bullet collected from the scene of incident belonged to the Beretta brand semi-automatic weapon".
'Samples collected from all persons'
Regarding the evidence collected from the scene of incident, the Prosecutor's Office indicated that "the mobile phone said to belong to the deceased person was seized and the necessary examination was made on it, her previous call details were taken and sent to examination".
While the "suicide note considered to belong to the deceased person and her day planner were also seized and sent to examination", the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office also announced that the necessary samples were taken from all persons, including MP Şirin Ünal, so that fingerprint and swap examinations could be undertaken".
'Autopsy samples are at the Forensic Medicine'
In the statement of the Prosecutor's Office, it was also indicated that "the deceased body of the person was referred to the Forensic Medicine Institute so that classical postmortem examinations could be conducted". Accordingly, postmortem examinations were made on the deceased body and it was identified that her death was caused by a bullet that hit 5-6 centimeters above her chest, the Prosecutor's Office informed further.
Indicating that the depositions of all persons residing at the house including Şirin Ünal as well as three friends of Nadira Kadirova, namely Abdullah, Leyla and Nigar were taken during the investigation, the Office concluded its statement, "The investigation is being conducted meticulously and in detail by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
