Applications for the 8th QueerFest organized by Pembe Hayat (Pink Life) Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Transvestite (LGBTT) Solidarity Association, have opened.
After the LGBTI events were banned in the capital city of Ankara, the QueerFest screened movies in eight cities and four countries in its seventh year of establishment.
Applications for the 8th Pink Life QueerFest can be submitted via FilmFreeway until October 1, 2018.
Rules and terms of application
LGBTI+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex) themed feature films, documentaries and short films and queer productions can be submitted.
Films (features, documentaries, shorts) premiered earlier than May 2017 will not be accepted.
Screening copies for feature films must have high resolution downloadable versions.
Short films should not exceed 25 minutes in duration.
Non-English films must be submitted with English subtitles. Films in English should provide a proper dialogue list.
Promotional materials of the selected films must be delivered to [email protected] by November 15, 2018. The Festival cannot be held liable for the incomplete and/or incorrect information.
The Festival holds discretion over the materials published in the catalogue.
After the official selection of a film, the festival is entitled to use excerpts from the film of a maximum of 3 minutes, nationally and internationally, for promotional purposes.
The festival website is entitled to use any still for the promotion of both the film and the festival program.
Screening program is entirely at the discretion of the festival management.
Selected films cannot be withdrawn after December 1, 2018. (ÇT/SD)
