Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has revealed that a staggering 29,983 people were injured across Turkey during the four-day period of Eid al-Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, while carrying out the ritual of animal slaughter.
In a statement on Twitter, Koca expressed his concern over the reported cases of injuries, saying, "Throughout the course of the Eid al-Adha holiday, a total of 951 individuals were transported to healthcare facilities by ambulance, while an additional 29,032 sought medical treatment at our healthcare institutions for accidents that occurred during the sacrificial process."
The minister further noted that 83 individuals, whose injuries were classified as severe, had undergone surgeries. He extended his well wishes to all the injured. (TY/VK)
