Musicians detained on 'terror' charges for participating in Green Left Party events

Twelve musicians who participated in the opening events for the Green Left Party's election contact offices in İzmir, western Turkey, have been detained.

According to the news reported by Mezopotamya Agency (MA), the police conducted raids on several homes in the morning.

During the raids, 12 musicians, including Sertan Özdemir, Şakir Yiğit Özdemir, Cemal Emen, Rıdvan Kaya, Fatime Tandoğan, Eyüp Azrak, Gökhan Gönlüaçık, and Kadir Yasin Temur, were detained.

The musicians, who were detained on charges of "terrorist propaganda," were taken to the İzmir Provincial Police Department. (NT/VK)
