The distribution of Members of the Parliament by provinces has been specified in the decision of the Supreme Election Council (YSK) numbered 124, which was published in the Official Gazette today (April 5).
It is indicated in the decision that the YSK has announced the number of MPs per provinces based on the population data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) as of December 31, 2021.
According to the decision, of the 600 MPs to be had by 81 provinces in total, the capital city of Ankara (36 MPs) and İstanbul (98 MPs) will have three electoral districts while Bursa (20 MPs) and the Aegean province of İzmir (28 MPs) will be divided into two electoral districts.
The YSK decision has also shared information about the distribution of districts by electoral districts in the four metropolitan municipalities that have been divided into two or three electoral districts.
According to the YSK decision, the number of MPs to be had by 81 provinces across Turkey will be as follows:
