Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Chair Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has claimed to have obtained hundreds of documents proving corruption and illegal activities involving President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
It was "patriotic bureaucrats still resisting Erdoğan" who sent him the documents, Kılıçdaroğlu said in a video on his Twitter account last night (January 26).
Recalling his previous warnings to bureaucrats not to abide by "illegal requests" of Erdoğan, the CHP leader said, "I addressed bureaucrats ... because I wanted to hear whether the bureaucracy ... still has a pulse ... The patriotic bureaucrats are still there. The patriots have long resisted the illegal and criminal requests of this courtier and his family."

Kılıçdaroğlu explained the content of one particular document about the cancellation of a public tender.
After a company won the tender with an offer of 3.19 billion lira (~235 million USD), the tender was canceled because the winning company was not one of the "gang of five," the five holdings with close ties to the government that have undertaken many big infrastructure projects with lucrative deals over the past decade, said Kılıçdaroğlu.
Another tender was lodged and won by "the gang of five" with an offer of 9.44 billion lira, he said. "What is the person in the palace putting a signature for? Do you understand? For the difference of 6 billion lira. 6 billion lira is gifted to the gang. Those who robbed the treasure's safe haven't had enough. They asked for even more money and he had to sign it."
Kılıçdaroğlu further said that his intention was not to disclose another corruption by Erdoğan, as it is known by everyone, but to inform the public that "there are still resisting bureaucrats."
"Don't worry, this is only the beginning. We'll disclose all of them," he said, adding that he will have surprises for the president. (AEK/VK)
